The events committee is made up of OHA resident volunteers. The Board provided an operating budget for the year. The budget covers any signage, printing, selected food items, and sundry items. A few events were postponed and moved due to extreme heat warnings. 

First, the Committee handed out a launch Communication, door to door, listing the events as below:

Food Trucks were planned for every month, on the 3rd Thursday through October and were very well received. 

May 16th Ice Cream Social. The annual inaugural event, OHA provided Carl’s Ice Cream, cart and rocket pops.Coordinated with Long Road Home Food Truck

Trivia Contest was cancelled due to lack of interest. 

July 18, Live Music by “Jordan Street” band.

September 17 – Potluck / Pepper Ridge Donation collection. OHA Provided hotdogs and hamburgers, and we asked people to bring a dish to pass.  

Chili Cook Off – October 19th. Prizes were awarded for 1st, 2ndand 3rd place. Plus, donated gift cards from Keg Grove!

October 26 Halloween @ the Park. We held a parade through the park for children dressing in costume and handed out goodies bags.

November 2, Fall Clean Up Day. Volunteers helped to clean up common areas. 

December 1st-16th – It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Oakwoods Annual Charity Drive benefiting The Salvation Army is brought some cheer to those in need over holiday season!
